Charlie Taylor is a textile designer and illustrator based in London.
Her passion for the arts have been evident since a young age. This passion continued throughout school and eventually led to Falmouth University where she studied Textile Design.
During her time at University she focussed on woven textile design, where she enjoyed combining practicality with interesting pattern. However, since graduating she’s pushed herself to combine her illustrative skills with her love of fashion, which led to starting a career in print design.
Her career has seen her intern for Christopher Raeburn, Tori Murphy and Tigerprint. She is currently working for Tom Cody, where her print designs have been featured in stores such as Zara, Urban Outfitters, Lucky Brand, The Children’s Place and many more.
Her work is recognisable for its strong attention to detail, which she creates using a combination of pencil and digital methods. However, she also enjoys loosening up with ink and water colour, and letting accidents happen. In her spare time, she likes to illustrate people - whether it’s capturing a certain expression or a particular item of clothing, it is a past time she thoroughly enjoys and continues to practice.
